Downtown Rhinelander businesses and restaurants remain open during street upgrade and parking is available in city parking lots and on many streets.

Work will continue on Davenport St., from the bridge to Courtney; Rives St., from the river to the west side of Anderson St., and Courtney, from Young to Davenport.

Additionally, due to the discovery of bedrock, rock blasting will take place on Davenport St., from the bridge to Courtney, Tuesday April 5. According to the contractor’s schedule, residents in the immediate area will be notified and complete monitoring measures will be installed and recorded by the company in charge prior to the blasting event.

The potential for water service interruptions, scheduled and unscheduled, during construction exists. The contractor’s schedule indicates businesses that will be affected by scheduled water interruptions will be notified in advance.
