Patricia “Pat” Bauer, age 70 of Rhinelander, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 7, 2016, with the love of her life by her side.  She was born on February 8, 1946, in Oshkosh to Emil and Norma (Krause) Ebert.

Pat moved to Rhinelander as a young girl and graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1964.  She married her best friend and love of her life, Ed Bauer on December 28, 1965, in Rhinelander.  They resided in Puerto Rico for two years while Ed completed his military service and then returned to Rhinelander where they raised their family of two daughters.  Pat was employed as a meat wrapper at National Foods but her primary occupation was that of wife and mother.  Pat was an avid collector of antiques; she also enjoyed gardening, caring for her pets, and visiting garage sales.  First and foremost in her life was having Ed at her side and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She will be fondly remembered for her giving heart and willingness to always help others.

Pat is survived by her husband of fifty years, Ed Bauer of Rhinelander; her two daughters, Marna Bauer of Rhinelander and Paula Laddusire of Los Angeles, CA; her five grandchildren, Brant (Abbey) Laddusire, Nicole Laddusire, Hailey Laska, Michael Laska, and Kaitlyn Laska; and her great granddaughter, Claire Laddusire.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Curt Ebert.

A memorial service for Pat will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at 5p.m. at the Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414) with Rev. Greg Laska officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 3 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at the funeral home.   Condolences for the family may be directed to www.carlsonfh.com.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial will be established to honor Pat’s giving heart and contributions may be directed in care of her family.
