Obituary: Lloyd C. Hirman

Lloyd C. Hirman of Rhinelander, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016 at St. Mary’s Hospital at the age of 75. Lloyd was born on July 16, 1939 in Raymond, Minnesota, the son of Clarence and Edna (Folkerts) Hirman. He attended a one room school house in Raymond, Minnesota and was a 1958 graduate of Raymond High School. Lloyd met his future wife Joanne Ory in Minneapolis. The couple was united in marriage at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Raymond, Minnesota on January 23, 1960. The couple moved to Rhinelander in 1963. Lloyd began his employment at St. Mary’s Hospital. He would work the next 45 years at the hospital retiring in 2008 as the Laundry Department Manager. Lloyd had been a member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. He raised whitetail deer as a hobby. Lloyd also enjoyed hunting, playing cards, fishing, traveling to Canada for fishing trips and moose hunting. Lloyd was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and Milwaukee Brewers fan. Surviving are his children, Rich (Lisa) Hirman, Jerry (Cheryl) Hirman and Sherry (Erv) DeBruin, all of Rhinelander; former son-in-law, Rob Lundberg of Rhinelander; grandchildren, Matt (Wendy) Hirman, Dan (Alisha Miller) Hirman, Josh (Meghan) Lundberg, Tim Lundberg, Alisha (Travis Evenstad) Lundberg, Justin Hirman, Chris Hirman, Ryan Hirman; step-grandchildren, Kyle (Marisa) Froehlich, Hannah (Tim Jezeski) Froehlich, Cody DeBruin and Jordan DeBruin; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Hailey Hirman and Jaxson and Abel Lundberg. Also surviving are seven brothers, Duane (Dianne) Hirman, of Newport, Tenn., Dennis (Vicki Bohnen) Hirman, Stan (Diann) Hirman, Gary (Rosemary) Hirman, Darrell (Barb) Hirman, Mike (Sandi) Hirman and Brad Hirman, all of Minn.; one sister, Kathy Hirman of Minn.; three brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law; Frank (Vivian) Ory Jr., of Enterprise, Erv Ory of Pelican Lake, Alan Ory of Elcho, Betty Feustel of Neenah, Wisconsin, Bev Hirman of Raymond, Minn., Trina Hirman of Clara City, Minn., and Jackie Ory of Rhinelander. Lloyd is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Edna Hirman; wife, Joanne Hirman on October 17, 2012; brothers, Gene and John Hirman; sister; Gloria Hirman;  brother-in-law, Joe Ory; sister-in-law, Sandy Hirman and a nephew, Tim Hirman. The visitation for Lloyd will be held on Saturday, Mar. 12 at the Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home from 12 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. memorial service. Fr. Randy Knauf will be officiating.
