Obituary: Anita Louise Buesching

Anita Louise Buesching, age 79, of Rhinelander died on January 24, 2016 at her home.
Anita was born on January 24, 1937 in Woodstock, Ill. to Walter and Eleanor Freeman. Anita graduated from Waukegan High School, Waukegan, Ill. After high school, Anita married Neil Buesching and had four children. In 1970, they moved to McNaughton and enjoyed family and friends at their small resort on Spider Lake. From there, they moved to Harshaw and enjoyed life on Oneida Lake. After retirement, Anita and Neil moved to Mountain Home, Ark., with Anita returning to Rhinelander after Neil’s death. Anita enjoyed her family, activities at the Senior Center, was an avid reader and loved to shop.
Anita is survived by her children, Bill Buesching of Rhinelander, Jody Mullen of Gurnee Ill., Cheryl Johnson of Rhinelander and Karen Eckert (Buck), of Rhinelander; her sister, Mary Anderson of Allegan, Mich.; grandchildren, Scott Johnson (Jessica), Curt Johnson, Brooke Johnson, Courtney Mullen, Ben Eckert, Grant Mullen, Dan Eckert (Ashley) and Sam Mullen; and great-grandchildren, Logan, Kaiden, Lily, Matthew, Colton, Michael and Cedar.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents; husband Neil, brother Roger and son-in-law, Russ Johnson.
There will be no formal service at this time. It is the family’s wish to hold a memorial service this summer with Anita’s remains to be joined with her late husband Neil on Spider Lake in McNaughton. Notice will be given prior to the service for those wishing to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
