Norma T. Soderlund, age 93, of Rhinelander, died  January 1, 2016 at the Country Terrace in Rhinelander. Norma born June 12, 1922 in Merrill to Reuben and Hannah (Boehner) Zimmer. Her family moved to Rhinelander when she was a young girl and she has lived here since. Norma graduated from the Rhinelander High School in 1940.

On June 22, 1943 she married the love of her life, Theodore Soderlund, and they enjoyed 60 years of marriage. Norma worked at providing a loving Christian home for her family. She enjoyed gardening and she loved to read and do crossword puzzles. She was a longtime member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. She loved her family and her Lord and Savior even more. Norma is survived by her daughter, Linnea (Larry) Lang of Rhinelander; sons, John (Patricia) Soderlund of Eau Claire and Eric (Arlene) Soderlund of Wonder Lake, IL; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Andrew; great-grandchildren, Emma and Makayla; brother, Werner Zimmer;  nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ted, three sisters and three brothers. Visitation for Norma will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday, January 7, with Funeral Services at the Carlson Funeral Home. The Reverend Richard Krahn will officiate.
