The Nicolet College student chapter of the Business Professionals of America (BPA) recently raised $1,241 for Special Olympics through a service learning project that culminated in a fundraiser at Hodag Lanes in Rhinelander.

“The students organized a very successful event and they should be proud of what they accomplished,” said Helen Fries, BPA advisor and Administrative Professional/Office Technology instructor at Nicolet. “The money goes to a very worthy cause and we would like to thank everyone who helped make it a success.”

About 70 people attended the event that featured donations from 41 businesses, organizations, and individuals, added Tracey MacQuarrie, who also advises the BPA chapter and is an Administrative Professional/Office Technology instructor.
