Obituary: Margaret (Mlady) Huebner
Margaret “Mogie” (Mlady) Huebner, age 97, of Omaha, Nebraska, died November 24, 2015. Margaret was born October 3, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois to Albina and James Mlady. At the age of three years she moved to Rhinelander, Wisconsin with her parents. She was educated atRhinelander High School and received her R.N. from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, an affiliate of Loyola University in Chicago. There she met her husband, Frank Huebner, who was a student at Loyola Dental School. After graduating from nursing school, Margaret worked as a stewardess for Illinois Central Railroad and American Express Tours in Canada and the United States. She married Frank Huebner in 1942 and they settled in Oak Park, Illinois, where he began his dental practice. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She had a gift for entertaining and making people feel welcomed and loved. She possessed a sharp wit combined with a heart full of compassion. She was a woman of strong faith and prayer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albina and James Mlady; husband, Frank Huebner; brother, James Mlady. Survived by daughters, Karen Federhofer (Gene) of Lisle, Illinois and Chris Dockery (John) of Omaha; sons, Frank Huebner (Margo) of Chicago and Greg Huebner (Mary) of Indianapolis, Indiana; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sister, Rita Chariton of Rhinelander, Wisconsin.
A vigil service will be held Friday, December 4th at 9:15 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Lisle, Illinois. Memorials may be sent to St. Bernard Catholic Church, 3601 N. 65th St., Omaha, NE 68104.
