Lincoln County Deputies need your help to solve a hit and run case in the Town of Merrill. Sometime over the weekend of October 3, the fence that protects the Merrill Airport was struck and severely damaged. It was discovered Monday morning and it is suspected the incident took place Saturday or Sunday night. Damage to the fence is extensive and  is expected it will cost thousands to repair.

Based on evidence left at the scene deputies believe it was a black Chrysler Concord that caused the damage. That vehicle should have extensive front end damage. If you saw any suspicious activity, or know anything about this incident you are asked to call the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at 715-536-6272.

Callers may also call Crime Stoppers of Lincoln County at 715-536-3726. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
