Motorcycle fatality near Tomahawk today
The Wisconsin State Patrol and Lincoln County authorities are continuing their investigation into a motorcycle crash Thursday afternoon.
According to the State Patrol, a motorcycle traveling northbound on Hwy 51, just south of the 225 exit near Tamarack Road, lost control and entered the median causing the motorcycle to roll. The motorcycle ended up in the southbound lane of Hwy 51. The lone operator was ejected from the motorcycle with life threatening injuries and transported by ambulance to Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk, where he was pronounced dead at 3:30 p.m.
The name of the deceased is being withheld until notification of next of kin.
