Four candidates have been selected to be interviewed next week for the open City Administrator position. Rhinelander Mayor Dick Johns said the City Council has chosen the four from a field of  22 applicants. The four finalists are:

  • Kristina Aschenbrenner: currently District Court Administrator for the 10th Judicial District, Eau Claire.
  • Daryl DeDeker: currently a Controller at UW-Stevens Point, Stevens Point.
  • Matt Heiser: current Village Administrator, Kewaskum.
  • Kaye Matucheski: current City Clerk/Treasurer, Antigo.

According to Johns, the interview process will start with a meeting of the candidates with various community leaders at an informal gathering. Formal interviews will be conducted and it is expected that the most appropriate candidate will be offered the position at the conclusion of the interview process. Salary, start dates and other contractual issues would be negotiated.

Find more details of the candidates in the August 2 edition of the Star Journal.
