Have any suspicious looking plants or questionable creatures in your yard? Today you can get your questions answered because it’s invasive species identification day throughout the Northwoods.
In Rhinelander, bring suspect plants and animals to the green space by Trig’s from 1-4 p.m. today (Friday). The event is sponsored by the Oneida County Land and Water Conservation Department. AIS Coordinator Michelle Sadauskus is encouraging people to stop by and learn how to stop the spread of invasives.
“We’ll have live specimens on hand, lots of resources, free hot dogs and lemonade and a ‘Spin to Win’ game,” she said. “Even if you don’t have a sample to bring in, stop on by and say hello.”
