A 59-year old Town of Merrill woman is in custody in Lincoln County following a domestic disturbance 911 call early Thursday morning.

Authorities say they received the call just before 1:30 a.m. of a domestic disturbance in progress at a residence. During the incident a male was shot in the leg, allegedly by his girlfriend.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident. A 51-year old Town of Merrill man was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment.

The suspect is expected to make an initial court appearance later today.
