Rhinelander Boom Lake Log Jam introduces Northwoods’ Best Bloody Mary Contest, paddle race

The Rhinelander Boom Lake Log Jam, presented by the Star Journal, returns to Hodag Park June 19-21 and this year, festival goers will be able to enjoy two new events at the community celebration.
The second annual Rhinelander Boom Lake Log Jam is a celebration of Rhinelander’s rich logging history and includes a weekend full of fun events, including lumberjack competitions, Gene Shephard’s Hodag Show, live music, logging equipment demonstrations and more.
The Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce has added two new events to entice travelers this year—the Northwoods’ Best Bloody Mary Contest on Saturday, June 20, and the Boom Lake Log Jam Paddle Race on Sunday, June 21.
“We’re really excited about the new events that we’ve brought into the schedule for this year’s Boom Lake Log Jam,” said Dana DeMet, director of the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce. “Registration is still open for the paddle race, and the Bloody Mary Contest is another fun event that should help us attract more people to the Log Jam this year.”
