The Rhinelander Area Friends of NRA held their annual fundraising event recently. During the program a ceremonial check of $ 1,375 was presented to Boulder Junction Shooting Range Treasurer, Dr. Roger Jones. The funds are in support of young shooters at the Boulder Junction range including the Northland Pines High School Trap Team.

The Friends of NRA is a non-profit organization with 100% of profits from events given as grants to other non-profit organizations (Boy Scouts, youth shooting programs and ranges) to support education, training, safety and the future of the shooting sports. Since its inception in 1992, Friends of NRA nationally has held over 15,000 events and raised over $230 million given out in grants. In Wisconsin alone, over 3.2 million has been raised and distributed as grants to non-profits like the Boulder Junction Shooting Range.
