Newbold Outdoor Recreation Committee members Ed Hammer, left, Jackie Cody and Pete Cody worked to have drinking water installed near the bike trail that runs past the Newbold Town Hall and fire department. Not pictured is committee member and Town Clerk Kim Gauthier.

Cycling enthusiasts and walkers who use the trail along Highway 47 in Newbold now have a place to stop, take a break and get some water.

The Newbold Outdoor Recreation Committee received approval last fall from the Town Board to install outdoor drinking water along the bike trail. The water fountain is located on the east side of the Newbold Fire Department building near the trail that runs along Highway 47.
“We are excited to see the addition of the drinking water for those utilizing the trails and/or the Newbold playground behind theTown Hall,” said Newbold Town Clerk, Kim Gauthier, “This is a much needed addition to the trail system!”
