The Oneida County ATV Trail System (as administered by the Oneida County Forestry, Land, & Outdoor Recreation Department) will officially open for the 2015 season 8 a.m. this Friday, May 22, 2015. This includes the trails maintained by the Oneida County ATV Association in the western part of the Town of Enterprise (T35N-R9E) and the Little Rice ATV Riders club in the Little Rice & Lynne townships.

Oneida County Forestry, Land & Outdoor Recreation Director John Bilogan reminds riders that trail conditions may be wet in spots, so riders are asked to use caution.

As always, the Oneida County Forestry Dept recommends staying on clearly marked trails. Trails are in early season condition. Always remember to obey all signs, regulations and please ride responsibly.

The Enterprise Campground will also open Friday. The Enterprise Campground is located within the Oneida County Forest approximately 11 miles south of Rhinelander on Shingle Mill Road.  The campground is also accessible via the Enterprise ATV/UTV trail. There are 11 campsites with grills, fire rings and picnic tables.  Restrooms and hand pump wells are also provided.Fees are $10/night per site and payable by self-registration.

For more information, contact Bill Welsh, Oneida County ATV Association, 715-277-5101;  Jim Kocher, Little Rice ATV Riders Club, 715-355-8303 or Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce, 715-365-7464.
