Five arrested in Rhinelander in continuing Meth investigation

Wednesday, March 25 the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, along with members of the Rhinelander Police Department, the Northcentral Drug Enforcement Group (NORDEG), and the Wisconsin Department of Justice continued an investigation involving the use, manufacture, and delivery of controlled substances, specifically methamphetamine.

Events surrounding this investigation led to the execution of a State Search Warrant in the City of Rhinelander and to the arrest of five (5) individuals. Arrested in connection to this investigation were Michael Steinmetz, JR. (40), Jaime Rickert (38), Jesus Fernandez (35), Carrie Steinmetz (47), and Crystal Schirmacher (36).

These arrests are part of an ongoing controlled substance investigation by the Northcentral Drug Enforcement Group (NORDEG) TaskForce. Participating agencies in this investigation included the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, the Rhinelander Police Department, the Wisconsin Department of Justice, the Rhinelander Fire Department and the Oneida County District Attorney’s Office.
