Viewpoint: Veteran supports Tammy Walters

Editor:

I write this in support of Tammy Walters, Oneida County Veterans Service Officer. As a veteran and as a member of several veterans’ organizations, I have had occasion to deal with Tammy on behalf of myself and other veterans. In every situation she went to work for the veteran.

I would not suggest that Tammy has never made a mistake; who hasn’t? What is disturbing is that it appears there are a few that are not about to let go.
If my memory serves me well, I seem to recall a famous quote by a famous man. It went something like this, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.” Is there anyone out there pointing fingers who is without sin? If so, I’d sure like to meet such a perfect person.

I would urge the Oneida County Board to terminate this issue, It’s best for everyone. Ask the veterans.
