Minocqua Police Department is releasing information regarding  registered sex offender, Jason R. Tribolet. Tribolet, convicted in Oneida County of  the 1999 second degree sexual assault of  a child, has served the sentence imposed on him by the courts. He is no longer on supervision so he does not have any restrictions, and is NOT wanted by the police at this time. Tribolet is living at 7710 US Hwy 51 N. in Minocqua.

According to a press release, “this notification is not intended to increase fear; rather it is our (Minocqua P.D.) belief that an informed public is a safer public.”

The release continues, “sex offenders have always lived in our communities; bit it was not until the Sex Offender Registry and Community Notification Law was enacted that law enforcement was able to share this information with the community. Citizen abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate or harass registered sex offenders will not be tolerated.”

Tribolet is required to register and maintain compliance with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry Program for his lifetime. The WI Sex Offender Registry can be found at www.widocoffenders.org.
