Viewpoint: Writer thanks businesses for closing on Thanksgiving

Editor:

Kudos to Menards and any other businesses that did not have to be open Thanksgiving Day, and did close to allow employees to celebrate the day with family and friends.

One has to think that if “Black Friday” continues as it is that the day will come, when Thanksgiving will be discontinued because it interferes with preholiday sales!!

Stop and think about the true meanings of Thanksgiving & Christmas!
