Oneida County UW Extension has announced the addition of a new Family Living Educator to its staff. Sara Richie began work at the UW Extension office in Rhinelander earlier this month. Sara grew up in Stevens Point and most recently has worked on strategies to increase physical activity as a Health Educator with the Richland County Public Health Department. She has an undergraduate degree in Family Living Education and a Master’s degree in Community Health Education. Her previous work experience include networking and relationship building within the community, coalition building, needs assessment, program development, implementation and evaluation of community programs.
Sara’s position with UW Extension will allow her to use her skills and professional experiences to build relationships with community members, government officials, local organizations and coalitions, as well as develop partnerships within the community to develop valuable programs that will serve the families here in Oneida County.
University of Wisconsin-Extension provides equal opportunities in employment and programming, including Title IX and ADA requirements.  For more information, please call Tim Brown at 715-365-2750.
