City water crew works to fix break

A city water department crew is working on fixing a water service break on Timber Drive in Rhinelander. Water Department Superintendent Tom Roeser said this break is different from the water main breaks that plagued the city last winter. “There appears to be a problem in the line running from the water main to the curb stop,” He said. “The water service line is about one inch in diameter compared to the six to eight inch line that is the main.”

Roeser said the break is unrelated to cold weather, and they are working to determine the cause.
