The Woolies Group works to keep Food Pantry patrons warm this winter
A group of local women known as “The Woolies Group”, have been working all year producing items to keep patrons of the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry warm this winter. The donation included 116 pairs of mittens, 65 hats, 17 scarves or neck warmers, 6 sets of combination hats, mittens and/or scarves plus 8 bonus packs or wool dryer balls. In past years the group sold their items at the Holiday Expressions event and then donated the proceeds to the Food Pantry. This year, without that event, the items were donated directly to the Pantry along with $130 to help purchase food items.
Part of The Woolies Group are pictured here with many of their donated items, front row, left to right, Cathy Steffen, LindaArndt, Margaret Baker, Karla Fletcher and Judy Kingsbury (Wollies organizer); back row, Mona Macdonald, Jeannie Baker and Lynn Frey.
