Even with budget restored, fair says still not enough
On Wednesday night, the county board of supervisors restored $4,000 that had previously been cut from the Oneida County Fair budget.
However, fair officials are still urging the public to attend a meeting designed to create a “citizen vision and commitment to the future,” on Tuesday Nov. 18.
The goal of this meeting is to find ways to make the fair self-sustainable over time, which even the restoration of their budget won’t do.
The “fair’s budget doesn’t provide the money necessary to begin building infrastructure (buildings, electrical supply, etc.) for future fair programming ideas,” said Lynn Feldman in a prepared statement.
The meeting will be held at the Quality Inn, Rhinelander, at 6 p.m. Nov. 18.
