Viewpoint: Westlund will represent all

Editor:
Congressman Sean Duffy is your representative in Congress. That means his votes are made on your behalf.
So it is the same as if you voted to keep taxes low for the wealthy. You voted to weaken environmental protection. You voted over 50 times to repeal the Affordable Health Care Act. You voted to cut Food Stamps. You voted to cut after school programs.
The reason that Duffy feels free to vote that way, for you and the people of the 7th District of Wisconsin, is because so many of you don’t bother to vote.
Is he representing you or his largest campaign contributors? Could that be why he doesn’t complain about how poor he is anymore?
I know if you are reading “letters to the editor” that you probably vote, so cut this out and show it to family members and friends who don’t think voting makes a difference.
Kelly Westlund will represent the people of the 7th District and she deserves your vote.
If 99% of the people voted, the 1%, even with all of their money, could not be buying our government. It is that simple.
