Just over two and a half years after the doors opened, Rennes Health and Rehab is adding on to its Rhinelander facility. According to Rennes Executive Vice President Chuck Hawkins, an additional ten thousand square feet will house 23 beds, plus expanded dining and therapy facilities.
“Expansion has always been part of our master plan,” Hawkins said. “Rhinelander is the medical hub of the north, and we’re excited to be in this great community. “
Rennes is currently a 72-bed skilled nursing facility, divided into long and short term stays. Administrator Kelsy Bontz said they need more space. “Today we have 67 residents,” Bontz added. “And we have maintained a nearly full house since we opened.”
Construction is underway, expected to be completed in late March or early April.
