Minocqua man killed in early morning collision

A 55-year old Minocqua man is dead following an early morning collision on Hwy 51. Minocqua Police and Oneida County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call just before 3 a.m. reporting a commercial vehicle had collided with a bicyclist. 55-year old Robin A. Kuzel was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle leased by Safelite Group, Inc, 28-year old Adam B. Lynch of Delevan was not injured. The incident remains under investigation.

 

 UPDATE -10:01 AM, October 23, 2014

As a result of the preliminary investigation, Adam B. Lynch, driver of the commercial vehicle, has been arrested and is being held in the Oneida County Jail. Charges will be forwarded to the Oneida County District Attorney’s Office for homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle, reckless driving, causing great bodily harm and inattentive driving.

The incident is still under investigation and specific details of the crash have not yet been released. The Minocqua Police Department is being assisted with the investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Oneida County Medical Examiner’s Office.
