Wind causes power outages in the Rhinelander area
Strong winds up to 48mph are being reported throughout the WPS service territory. These winds are causing issues and causing outages throughout the area, including Harshaw and Gleason.
The saturated ground and winds could bring down trees and the wind could cause branches to make contact with lines also. High winds can also cause snapped lines. As usual we want to advise residents to watch for down lines and debris that could be entangled within those down lines. Call your outage into our call center at 800-450-7240 to report your outage.
WPS reminds customers to stay away from downed powerlines, or anything that is touching them.
