Rhinelander Beer introduces Oktoberfest brew
It may have taken a little longer than anticipated, but Rhinelander Beer’s first seasonal brew has arrived. The Oktoberfest brew, a “classic maerzen style” is available in six pack bottles at House of Spirits, Stein’s, and Trigs. It will be available soon on tap at Pat’s and Bucketheads. The brew was expected to be bottled and for sale in August.
“The first batch didn’t meet our standards,” explained District coordinator Brenda O’Rourke, “so we remade the beer and had to wait for it to lager. We think it’s worth the wait, though.”
It was September 2003 when Rhinelander Beer introduced its first variety beers, following the release of the Shorty. Initially in 22 ounce bottles, six packs became available about a year and a half ago. O’Rourke said they are in discussion to create even more seasonal beers in the near future.
