RHS Band to entertain at Homecoming game

The sports teams are not the only groups practicing and preparing for Homecoming week. The RHS band will be leading the Homecoming parade Oct. 10 at 4 p.m., and is excited to perform at halftime of the football game. This year’s half time show is based on the music of BonJovi. The first piece is Livin’ On a Prayer, followed by You Give Love a Bad Name.
The students started learning the show at the band’s 3-day marching band camp in August.
“During the school year, the band rehearses in two separate sections, making the preparation process somewhat challenging,” said band director Connie Piasecki. “They’ve rehearsed as one large band just 3 times since August to make final adjustments with the show.”
If tradition has anything to do with it, the band will not disappoint.
