Are you a Rhinelander High School Sophomore or junior, or the parent of one? The Rhinelander Rotary Club’s Youth Exchange program offers a once in a lifetime opportunity for teens to live and attend school in another part of the world.
Requirements include being open to new experiences and cultural differences, be in the top half of your class academically; be age 15.5-18.5 at departure (August 1, 2015), and the ability to attend three mandatory orientation conferences, the first of which is in Minocqua in October.
There are no foreign language requirements, and selected students will have 44 nations on six continents from which to choose. Among the countries in which Rotary Youth Exchange students from Rhinelander have spent their exchange year include Brazil, Thailand, Chile, Faroe Islands and Denmark.
Students interested in expanding their horizons, getting to know students from all over the world, living as a part of a family in another culture, attend the informational meeting Monday September 22, 5:30 p.m. in the Superior Diesel Advanced Learning Center located in RHS.
