Registration for CHAMPS program being accepted
The School District of Rhinelander is currently accepting registrations for the CHAMPS (Community Helping Afterschool to Mold Positive Students) afterschool program.
In-person registration for the CHAMPS program is currently open for students in 6th through 8th grades who plan to attend either James Williams Middle School (JWMS) or Northwoods Community Secondary School (NCSS).
To register, stop by the JWMS main office between the hours of 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, from now until Aug. 18. Hours for registration starting Aug. 18 will be 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Beginning Aug. 18, in-person CHAMPS registration will be open for students in 4K through 3rd grades who plan to attend either Crescent, Pelican or NCES (Northwoods Community Elementary School). To register, stop by either the Crescent or Pelican main office from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Mail-in registrations are currently being accepted for both age groups. Registration forms may be found on the School District of Rhinelander website, rhinelander.k12.wi.us. Mail completed forms to the following addresses: For 6th through 8th graders – James Williams Middle School, 915 Acacia Lane, Rhinelander, WI 54501; for 4K through 3rd graders – Crescent Elementary School, 3319 Boyce Drive, Rhinelander, WI 54501.
Those who were enrolled in the CHAMPS program last year will be given first consideration for this year’s program.
