John E. “T.C. John” Bailey, 59, died July 19, 2014, in Bundy. He was born May 13, 1955, in Rhinelander to Olen and Nettie (Johnson) Bailey. He is survived by his brothers, Art (Judy) Bailey of Sonora, Calif., and Lt. Col. Roger (Saundra) Bailey of New Lisbon; and his sisters, Evelyn Peter, Ann (Dr. Louis) Gorz and Sally Bailey, all of Rhinelander, and Barbara Lloyd of Westminster, Colo. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Jensen. He was a past president of the Oneida County Tavern League and Hodag Sno-Trails, and a founder of OCTL Safe Ride Home. A celebration of Mr. Bailey’s life will be held Saturday, July 26, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Bailey’s Town and Country Inn in Bundy. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family suggests donations to a memorial that has been established in his name. (Carlson Funeral Home)
