Motorcycle accident in Town of Woodboro

On Saturday, July 19 at 5:26 p.m., the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a reckless motorcycle driving westbound on Hwy. 8 in the Town of Woodboro. At 5:30 p.m., the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office received numerous 911 calls of a one-vehicle motorcycle accident on Hwy. 8 near Birch Bay Road.
The driver of the motorcycle was identified as Jed M. Travis, age 33 of Weston. He was the only person involved in the accident. He was flown by Spirit Air to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident.
The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Oneida County Ambulance-Medic 4, Woodboro First Responders, Crescent Fire Department, Crescent First Responders and Nokomis Fire Department.
The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office is continuing their investigation into the traffic accident.
