The Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball team will be traveling to Lake Tomahawk July 25 to take on the Snow Hawks in a snowshoe baseball game at 7:30 p.m.
To accommodate the expected large crowds, the committee in charge of coordinating the effort has announced the parking assignments and road closures in Lake Tomahawk that afternoon and evening.
Road closures in Lake Tomahawk include Choate Road from Iris Street to Hwy. 47 and Main Street from Rainbow Road to Highway 47.
Handicapped parking will be available on Main Street from Rainbow Road to Choate Road. Vehicles parking in this area will be required to have either a handicapped license plate or a disabled parking display, hanging from their rear view mirror.
A shuttle bus will provide transportation from the main parking area located at Dolhun Field just north of the town. Additional parking will also be provided at the Old Church Parking Lot.
The committee is also looking for individuals to volunteer either as parking attendants or in the concession areas. For more information on the event or to volunteer, email Joanne Krueger at [email protected]
