Rhinelander District Library weekly events

Here are the events for this week at the Rhinelander District Library:

Preschool Programs
Two programs for preschoolers are scheduled at the Rhinelander District Library Thursday, July 10. A 20-minute Parent/Tot Time program for children age 2 to 3½ who are accompanied by an adult begins at 10 a.m. in the Children’s Department. 
A 40-minute Story Time program for children age 3½ to 6 is scheduled for 10 a.m. in the library meeting room. At the completion of the programs, caregivers and children from both groups will gather together to do a simple craft.

11th Annual Library Tea Party
Registrations are now being accepted for the 11th annual Tea Party, that will be held at the Rhinelander District Library Tuesday, July 15 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. This year’s theme is “A Fairy Tea.” Registration can be done by stopping in the Children’s Department or phoning 715-365-1070 ext. 2. This program is sponsored by the Rhinelander Woman’s Club.

Science Experiment Fun
Fun and educational science experiment programs will be conducted at the Rhinelander District Library Tuesday, July 15 from 11 to 11:45 a.m. and 2 to 2:45 p.m. Registration is required and can be done by stopping in the Children’s Department or phoning 715-365-1070 ext. 2. This program is for children entering first grade and up and will include some hands-on activities.

Traveling Lantern Theater Company
The Traveling Lantern Theater Company from Portland, Ore. will put on their version of the play The Industrious Mr. Franklin Wednesday, July 16 from 2 to 2:45 p.m. at Nicolet College’s Learning Resource Center Theater. This event is hosted by the Rhinelander District Library and funded by a grant from the Northern Arts Council. No admission is charged.
