The Hoop Dreams AAU program had two teams recently compete at the Higher Level Camp Summer Shootout at the Wayland Academy in Beaver Dam.
The 15U team captured first place in the 15/16 year old age bracket. Hoop Dreams lost their opening game 36-35 to the Blizzard I team from Fox Valley area and rebounded with two wins over Higher Level Camp (52-37) and Black Top Sports (48-34) to advance to the champion pool after day one.

On day two, Hoop Dreams beat the top seeded Blizzards II to set up a rematch with the Blizzard I team. In a tight battle, Hoop Dreams prevailed 47-43 to win the championship.

The 11U Hoop Dreams team took second place in their tournament. They went 2-1 day one and split their games day two to finish 3-2. The team won a three way tie breaker to take runner up honors. Team members from Rhinelander include Alex Fortier, Payton Johnson, Quinn Lamers and Jacksen Smith.
