Weakening the future potential of rural children so even their guardians become ineffective in providing the best of what life has to offer. Rural children have the strength in preserving the environment in which they grew up in. It’s woven in their lives. Besides the $1.6 billion in public school funding cuts and the fact that since 1998 of the 956 referendums, 73 percent have been for rural schools. Then add the school formula that short changes our rural children. Then to add to the damage is the Voucher schools which alone currently absorb $384 million in this budget that would otherwise be available for public schools. How can our own species purposely damage and not correct the wrong done to the potential of innocent minds of children? Not is it their future but it is our future as a nation. Leave no rural child behind without reason or justification solely based on ignorance.

Food for thought.
