Northwoods aquatic invasive species poster winners announced
The Oneida County Land and Water Conservation Dept. (LWCD) and Lumberjack Resource Conservation Development Council in partnership with Ashland, Douglas, Florence, Forest, Iron, Langlade, Lincoln, Price, and Vilas County Conservation Departments, announce the winners of the third Annual Northwood’s Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Poster Contest. Because AIS does not recognize county lines, the AIS Poster Contest was open to any student in fourth through eighth grades.
Medallions were awarded for first, second and third places, with ribbons provided for those students who received honorable mention. A classroom celebration was also held for each first place winner. Additionally, winning entries will become part of a traveling art exhibit and an AIS poster calendar will be designed for distribution throughout the Northwoods.
