Michael T. Schettino, 34, of the town of Woodruff was taken into custody Friday after allegedly pointing a gun at another person during a road rage incident according to a press release from the Minocqua Police Department.

According to the release, Schettino points a gun at another driver on Highway 51 and then reportedly drove through the MHLT Elementary School parking lot causing that school to go into preventive lock down.

Responding units located the vehicle at the intersection of Lee Road and Titus Road. Officers recovered a loaded .40 caliber hand gun from Schettino’s vehicle.

Charges are pending with the Oneida County District Attorney’s Office.

Officers from the Minocqua Police Department, Woodruff Police Department, Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and the Wisconsin State Patrol responded to the incident.
