Rhinelander chosen for Milwaukee Public Television Program
The city of Rhinelander will be the star of an upcoming episode of Around The Corner with John McGivern, a Milwaukee Public Television show that is seen throughout Wisconsin and Northern Illinois on both Milwaukee Public Television and Wisconsin Public Television and is one of the highest viewed PBS shows on Thursday nights at 7 p.m..
The program also airs on Minnesota Public Television and will begin airing on Chicago Public Television this summer.
Filming of the program will take place in late August and will focus on why people love to Live, Work, and Play in the Rhinelander area. The show’s producers are interested in finding places and people that will tell the viewers what is special about the city.
“This is a great opportunity to showcase Rhinelander’s unique offerings,” said Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Dana DeMet. “I’m looking forward to showing off the Rhinelander area, its businesses, and citizens to a huge audience in the Midwest.”
The Chamber has begun assembling a committee to represent a true cross-section of the Rhinelander community, soliciting help from businesses, City officials, and community groups.
The committee will be looking for input from the public for unique and interesting people and places to highlight on the show.
Those who would like to contribute can contact the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce at 715-365-7464 or email [email protected].
