Pete Sanderson, MD named Northern Region Vice President for Ministry Medical Group
Pete Sanderson, MD, has been named Vice President for Ministry Medical Group’s (MMG) northern region according to Bob Sookochoff, MD, President of MMG.
Dr. Sanderson was selected following a thorough search process that involved representatives from medical group leadership, northern region physicians, nursing leaders and Human Resources. He fills the role formerly held by Dr. Sookochoff who was recently named as Ministry Medical Group President.
Dr. Sanderson is an experienced family physician and leader who has been associated with Ministry for 30 years. He has run a small group practice in Plover, served as the president of the Rice Medical Group and most recently, served as Chief Medical Informatics Officer for MMG responsible for the successful implementation of the Cattails EHR. He currently serves on Ascension committees for IT and Physician Formation and participates on the QHS steering team with a strong vision for the management of population health.
Dr. Sanderson completed his medical training at Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine, Augusta, Georgia and did both an internship and residency at ThedaCare in Appleton. He also holds an MBA from University of Tennessee, Knoxville, College of Business Administration.
