League of Women Voters spring schedule set
The League of Women Voters of the Northwoods will begin evening meetings starting Thursday, April 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Minocqua Public Library in the Sue and Roger Smith Community Room.
The speaker for the evening will be Paul Ehlers and he will discuss the topic ‘The Geology of the Penokee Hills,’ the area being considered for an open pit iron mine in northern Wisconsin. The public is invited to attend.
League meetings for the next several months will take place at 6:30 p.m. alternating between Minocqua, Lake Tomahawk and Rhinelander.
Upcoming meetings will take place Thursday, May 8 in Lake Tomahawk at the Raymond F. Sloan Community Center and Thursday, June 12 in Rhinelander at the Oneida County Senior Center in the Balsam Room.
