Winners announced for 2014 Food Pantry CANtastic event
The Rhinelander Area Food Pantry CANtastic event ended Saturday, March 29 with the presentation of awards. Seven teams participated in this year’s event with the theme of “Hunger Games.”
The Judge’s Choice Award was presented to The Tracker Jackers-Park City Credit Union for their structure “Tracker Jacker.”
The People’s Choice Award was presented to The Can Can Girls plus Two-Nicolet National Bank for their structure “The Dandelion.”
The Most Cans Used Award was presented to Associated Bank for their structure “Mocking Jay with Flames.”
Rhinelander Kiwanis Club, RIPCO Credit Union and Rouman Cinema were also recognized as major sponsors of this years event.
All of the food used to create the structures and for the voting will be distributed to area families in need through the Food Pantry.
At the conclusion of the award ceremony the theme for next years event “Historic Building” was announced.
