John “Jack” Szmurlo, 77, of Harshaw, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander. He was born Sept. 10, 1936, in Milwaukee to Charles and Sopie Szmurlo. He is survived by his daughter, Amy Gruenwald of New Berlin. A memorial service for Jack will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at the Carlson Funeral Home.
