We are pleased to endorse and recommend Carol Pederson to fill the position of Oneida County Supervisor for District 5 of Oneida County. Carol is not one of the “good old boys” who have served on the Board for a decade or more. She has served with distinction as the Supervisor for District 5 for four years. During that period she has learned the ropes and understands the concerns and needs of her constituents and the residents of Oneida County. She is a former citizen member of the Commission on Aging  & Board of Health and participated in the Senior Statesman Program in Madison.

Carol currently serves on the Library Board, Labor Relations and Employee Services Committee and Social Services Committee of the Oneida County Board. Her services in these capacities have been significant and productive. She also serves on the Tri-County Coordinated Service Team, and the Boards of the Northeastern Wisconsin Community Action Program and the Human Service Center.

She knows that the major issue facing Oneida County is the need to make the best use of available tax dollars while providing high quality services to its residents. To that end she has continually looked for ways to work toward that goal through cross training of employees, greater collaboration between County departments and sharing of support staff.  Carol also believes that the County Board meetings should periodically be held in the evenings to allow greater participation by citizens who are unable to participate in County Board meetings during the day.

Carol has served her constituents in District 5 and the residents of Oneida County with dedication and distinction. It is very much in the District’s and County’s best interest to re-elect her to office in April. She is smart, diligent, sincere  and hard-working. She reads and evaluates all of the various proposed ordinances and resolutions before the County Board. Perhaps most important, she is a truly good and caring person.
