Northwoods Women?s Business Conference a success
The first annual Northwoods Women’s Business Conference was held Friday, March 21, at Nicolet College in Rhinelander. With 90 people signed up to attend, the event exceeded organizers’ registration goal.
Those attending enjoyed networking opportunities and the chance to learn about a variety of subjects. The conference several featured breakout sessions focusing on social media, websites, communication skills, stress management, business loans and more.
Two dynamic keynote speakers were featured at the conference. Chris Clarke-Epstein, CPS, spoke about “Motivation: Living a Fully Charged Life.” Clarke-Epstein is the author of “78 Important Questions Every Leader Should Ask and Answer.” Kathryn Jeffers presented the afternoon speech about “Leadership in Everyday Life.” She is the author of “Don’t Kill the Messenger” and is part of the Leadership Development faculty at the UW School of Business in Executive Education.
Northwoods Women in Business and Nicolet College hosted the conference, and organizers say planning for next year’s event will be underway soon.
