Chamber announces ?Business Buddies? to strengthen area business community

The Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce introduced a new initiative which will help newer area businesses to get a solid start in the community.

“Business Buddies” will pair business owners and operators in an informal setting to share ideas, resources, feedback, and knowledge.

Small business owners and operators in Rhinelander are often quite talented in their area of expertise, whether it’s making great food, providing excellent customer service, creating unique products, or mastering technology. But the other parts of running a business may be more difficult: dealing with accounting and financing, exploring advertising and marketing, and handling human resources.

“Business Buddies” seeks to pair newer businesses or businesses with questions with entrepreneurs who have more experience in a variety of areas. Buddies from non-competing businesses will be paired by the Chamber and meet with each other at least four times a year in a safe, confidential, flexible, informal and friendly setting to share ideas, best practices and suggestions.

The Chamber asks all business owner/operators (both potential “Mentors” and “Mentees”) to consider joining “Business Buddies.”

For more information, or to sign up to be a Business Buddy, contact Ben Meyer at 608-395-4688 or Maggie Steffen at 715-362-7374, or email Ben at [email protected]
