Rhinelander’s Crescent Elementary seeks volunteers to read to students

In recognition of Read Across America Week, Crescent Elementary is looking for community members to read to students Wednesday, March 5.

The Caring School Community is looking for volunteers to read one or two (depending on their length) of their favorite Dr. Suess books and a favorite book from their childhood to the class. During this time, the staff/class is also interested in hearing how the readers choose books to read (what do they like to read, when do they read, where do they read?) and memories the reader has of reading as a child.

For more information or to volunteer, contact Mary Jo Gignac at Crescent at 715-365-9120 or gignamar@rhinelander.k12.wi.us to let her know what times would work best and the staff will work their schedule around that time.
