Enrollment event to be offered in Rhinelander

To find out more about health insurance options under the new health care law, those interested can attend one of several events offering enrollment opportunities to Oneida County residents:

Upcoming enrollment events are scheduled for:
Feb. 22 at the Rhinelander Public Library 106 N. Stevens Street from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
March 8, at the Rhinelander Public Library from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
March 14, at the Rhinelander Chamber of Commerce from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
March 28, at the Rhinelander Public Library from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“We are concerned that people will wait too long to explore their enrollment options. The deadline for everyone to have insurance is March 31. If people continue to procrastinate they may find they will be unable to get an appointment for help.” Mary Testin, Enrollment Coordinator at the Bridge Community Health Clinic said. The Bridge Clinic coordinates enrollment activities in Central Wisconsin. “We hope Oneida citizens will take advantage of this event in their area. The library has extended its hours on Saturdays to help.”

Participants interested in enrolling that day will have access to certified application counselors and the Healthcare.gov website and will be able to see how much subsidy would be available to them and to start their enrollment process.

Although walk-ins are welcome, the best way to guarantee help is to make an appointment. This can be done by calling 715-261-2141 no later than two days before the event.

Other enrollment opportunities can be found by calling United Way’s 2-1-1.
